Why did I make a fuzz pedal specifically for bass?
There are many fuzz pedals in the world. However, most of them are pedals designed for guitars. Bass players have usually chosen pedals with a lot of low tone and tone switches among them. However, Lemon & Ginger focused on the differences in ‘scale’ rather than the differences in ‘bandwidth’ of each instrument. Because guitars and basses have different ‘scales,’ when a fuzz pedal designed for guitar is used on a bass, it has too much ‘sustain,’ making it difficult to express nuance. I designed the daidarabocchi to match the scale of the bass, so that it could have the proper sustain. And the reduced sustain makes it easy to use, not only with passive basses, but also with active basses, and with preamps and compressors. This pedal is truly a bass-specific fuzz for bassists.
